Easter Church Service
Join us for our first ever Easter service at 10am April 5th at Romeo Dallaire P.S. at 300 Williamson Drive East in Ajax. We’ll celebrate the best news EVER – that Jesus rose from the dead, and we can know and follow him to a new life as well. Our Family Room services are relaxed, fun, celebratory and include life-changing teaching for all ages in one room. It’s great for any age, but especially for those with young children who want to worship and learn together as a family. Curious? You can read all about it on our main page.
Easter Egg Hunt
Afterwards, join our first annual free neighbourhood Easter egg hunt. Meet our neighbours and see the joy of kids searching for eggs in the field behind the school.
To play, please donate a bag of foil-wrapped chocolate eggs in the bin at 98 Boyd Crescent by April 4th at Noon.
Please assemble on the basketball courts behind the school by 11:45am where there’ll be some fun, a chance to meet neighbours, and where we’ll get the kids organized. The hunt itself will begin promptly at noon and it only takes a couple minutes before the eggs are gone.
Please watch this event page, and Like Northeast Ajax Neighbourhoods – Hamlet, Imagination, Somerset, Baycliffe to get updates in case of poor weather.
We hope this is the first of many events to help grow and build a strong community in this neighbourhood.
Come enjoy the fun!
Maundy Thursday Potluck & Communion
April 2nd, 2015, the date right before Good Friday is traditionally called Maundy Thursday. It’s the night Jesus had a Passover supper in a rented room with his disciples, then after supper he shared bread and wine with them saying “this is my body” and “this is my blood”. He was arrested shortly afterwards, an encounter with the authorities that ultimately led to his death and resurrection. We’ll do the same – we’ll gather for a meal in a “rented” room at the Audley Recreation Centre in Ajax, and celebrate how our community has grown this year. After dinner we’ll break bread and have a sip of wine in remembrance of Jesus, and in communion with one another. We’ll retell and relive this incredible story.
